Kid's Heart Challenge 2021: This years' Kid's Heart Challenge (formally Jump Rope for Heart) will start on Monday March 22, 2021! For the 7th time, we will start to introduce this wonderful community project to the Broadmeadow students and staff. The students are extremely excited and we are hoping to have another amazing year with this project. Students are welcome to participate in three ways: jump rope during each PE class during our 4-week JR unit, learn heart healthy facts/information, and an option to raise money for the American Heart Association. Thank you so much for all of your support and assistance!
Here at Broadmeadow, we strive to create excellent movers each and every day. Our students are our first priority and creating an environment where they feel comfortable is something that we pride ourselves on daily. The students in grades 3-5 at Broadmeadow are lucky enough to receive TWO classes (40 minutes) per week. However, the kindergarten- grade 2 students receive ONE class (40 minutes) per week. As a district, we do our best to align ourselves with the National Standards (grade level outcomes) created by PE and Health professionals throughout the country. The more we align ourselves with National standards, the more efficient our movers will be. Check out our "About Broadmeadow PE" for more information.
